RouterBoard 564

Overview

The RouterBOARD 564 is a daughter board for the RB532. It attaches to the RB532 (see picture) by means of special daughter board connector and adds four more MiniPCI slots and six ethernet ports. The MikroTik RouterBoard RB564 is especially suited for building security devices with multiple secure channels, in building secure devices it is always best practice to utilise separate physical ports for each security channel or each security level. Using an RB564 allows you to build a router firewall with 9 secure wired Ethernet channels!

Note! You can not use more than two AR5414 chip set (e.g. R52) cards in RB/564. If you want to use three or four miniPCI cards in RB/564, you should use other chip set based ones for those extra slots, like CM9. For example, two R52 + two CM9 is OK, four CM9 is also OK, but not three or four R52.

• Allowing the insertion of Wireless, Wi-fi, WiMAX MiniPCI Cards
